The majority of complaints regarding alleged neglect and abuse are handled by Jefferson County Animal Control. The Animal Control Officers are the professional individuals who take to heart, the mistreatment of animals. They can be reached at 636-797-5577 M-F, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with the exception of recognized holidays. The Jefferson County Humane Society will respond to complaints regarding alleged neglect and abuse. 911 is available for callers to report animal emergencies. This is the Jefferson County Animal Control website.

URGENT Alert from the ASPCA

A new state bill before your senate, SB 886, would allow any Missouri village, town or city to adopt regulations to control vicious or dangerous dogs—but importantly, the bill prevents communities from discriminating against any breed of dog. Below is what you can do. 

Visit the ASPCA Advocacy Center to send an email to your state senator and to the committee currently considering SB 886
